Upper Ferntree Gully Winery was born out of a love for wine and the traditions of the Old World. A trip through Europe - especially the rolling hills of Italy and the timeless villages of France gave us the inspiration to bring a piece of that experience back home. We were captivated not only by the wines themselves, but by the way the vineyards were interwoven with family, food, and the community. It was in those moments, surrounded by vines centuries old, that the dream of planting our own first vines began to take root.

In 2013, we turned that dream into reality and began cultivating our vineyard in Upper Ferntree Gully. What started as a vision inspired by Europe has become a thriving local expression of passion, patience, and place. Each vine represents a step in our journey - from tasing wines on sunlit terraces in Tuscany, to carefully tending our own rows here at home. Today, our vineyard carries the spirit of that European inspiration while embracing the unique character of our Australian soil and climate.
